About Dawn

Dawn Hoover cares and loves animals. It is my passion in life.

Hi, I’m Dawn Hoover and A Pet’s Best Friend is my passion. I’m a native San Franciscan who lives in Foster City. I’ve loved animals since I was a child. I’ve volunteered at the Peninsula Humane Society, Pets in Need, and Homeless Cat Network. When the opportunity to buy A Pet’s Best Friend presented itself, I immediately knew the stars were aligned perfectly. This business combines all my skills in business and my love for animals. I share my home with an energetic kitty named Lacey.

Pet Sitting In Your Home

In your home, dog walks, cuddles and playtime with kitty, meals, and TLC.

Senior Pet Care

We’re experienced giving medication to both cats and dogs.

Emergency Care

If needed, we’ll of course transport to your local vet.

House Care

We’ll bring in the mail, take out the trash, water plants, set the alarm, lock-up etc.

Dog Walking

Daily exercise and socialization. All walks are done individually so we’re focused solely on your pup. (30/45 minute and 1 hr)
